Bootsplash Installation

• Bootsplash software attaches picture to initrd file

  • SuSE:
    • point to desired theme in /etc/sysconfig/bootsplash
    • mkinitrd -s <resolution>
    • Example: mkinitrd -s 640x480
  • Generic:
    • Run “splash” program
    • Example: splash -s -f <config_file> >> /boot/initrd
