GNOME Components -- Bonobo - Component Model in the tradition of Microsoft OLE
- Goal: allow compound documents; embedding of complex controls
- Based on CORBA, with extensive C support library
- Theoretically allows embedding of remote components
- Still very immature
- Used in Nautilus, Gnumeric, Evolution
- To be supported in OpenOffice
