WLUG Founder Andy Stewart will be giving a talk about "Andy's Ham Radio Linux", a popular collection of Free and Open Source Software related to ham radio. You need not know much (if anything) about ham radio to benefit from this talk. Andy will present a high level overview of things that are done with ham radios, and how Linux software helps with the enjoyment of the hobby.

Andy Stewart holds an Amateur Extra class ham radio license (KB1OIQ), and has been active in that hobby for 20 years.  He has been a  Linux enthusiast since the late 1990s.  After retiring from a long and successful career as a digital logic verification engineer in 2024, Andy has spent a lot more time promoting Linux and ham radio.

As usual after the meeting we'll head off for dinner to keep the conversation going! A couple people have asked about parking.. You can park in the parking lot next to Technocopia that has the loading docks.
